You have elected Boris Johnson, the foppish blonde-mopped walking-PR-disaster joke of the Houses of Parliament, as your Mayor of London. Was it because of the tackle on the German in that charity football match, or because he was quite funny on HIGNFY once? Either way, you’ve elected a man whose first decision was to ban something that we all at WH-HQ hold dear.

No more taping up on the way to a party, no more bringing bottles on that trek across the city, and no more summer fun. London, what on earth are we in for next. WH-HQ cannot forgive you.
Beer Pong gets out of hand
Friday, November 16th, 2007One of the winehands team has been in NYC for the last few weeks enjoying some Beer Pong action in the East Village. We still love the game and we are still trying to work out how to get one of those tables we told you about shipped to the UK.
Now we have another reason to get excited about the game…. custom Beer Pong balls from adamsballs.com. ~25 quid for 25 balls is pretty much a bargain we think.

It’s going to be quite an occasion and team Winehands has managed to get themselves some tickets…. not just any old tickets though, we’ll be in a box. Check out the view:

drinking snooker
Friday, September 15th, 2006just when you thought you had seen it all, team winehands exclusively presents a brand new alcohol consumption methodology – drinking snooker.
the game combines the best elements of arrogance and the centurion to offer a genuine drinking challenge to its participants. it is played as follows:
players sit around a table. in front of each player are shot glasses containing 15 red “balls” and one of each of the colours. the shot glasses are filled with drinks in the following make-up:
Reds (1 point) = Red Reef
Yellow (2 points) = Lager
Green (3 points) = Green Bacardi Breezer
Brown (4 points) = Baileys
Blue (5 points) = Blue Aftershock
Pink (6 points) = as yet undecided – please tell us your ideas!
Black (7 points) = Black Absinthe
every minute, you must drink a shot, following the rules of the centurion. as in snooker, you must first sink a red, then a colour. when you drink a red, it remains empty, whereas colours are refilled. once you have drunk all reds (and 15 corresponding colours), you drink the remaining colours in the order above, ending on the black absinthe. the game should take 37 minutes (15 reds, 15 colours and the last 7 colours).
the challenge is to score as many points as possible. you will notice that the drinks become increasingly disgusting the more the points are worth. drinkers are faced with a trade-off between amassing higher points versus ease of drinking. the minimum score would be 72 (15 reds, 15 yellows and the colours) and the formiddable maximum is 147 (this would involve consuming over a bottle of black absinthe!). players should be happy with making a century. at the end of the game, the player with the most points wins!

we’re back… what a party that was

Readers, we are back and I’m actually finding it hard to put into words how good that trip was. Everything was perfect, well done Germany! Check out the photos below, I’m sure you’ll like them. And yes we did A LOT of beer hands, people were, as expected loving it.
